Colorado school district approves armed teachers, staff

A rural school district in El Paso County on Wednesday approved a resolution to allow staff to carry guns on school grounds after a survey of students, staff and parents found support for the move.

Authorized employees in school districts across the Sooner State can be trained and designated as reserve officers, allowing them to carry guns on campus under the egis of a new law signed by Gov. Mary Fallin.
