Elderly man fatally shoots home invasion suspect (VIDEO)

The suspect apparently tried to gain control of the homeowner's handgun, but failed. He was shot a single time in the chest, but the homeowner also accidentally shot himself in the arm during the struggle.

Mentally ill man wielding spoon shot dead by police (VIDEO)

The homeowner believed the man was trying to break into her house when she made the frantic call to 911 at 2 a.m., and while still on the phone, the woman is heard saying, “The police just shot something.”
