Tensions over Confederate flag, racial slurs may have led to shooting

Witnesses said the altercation started when the man pulled into a gas station and started yelling racial slurs at a group of black men standing outside, but a friend of the driver claims he stopped for directions and only pushed back after he was first provoked.
