Family of Alton Sterling files wrongful death lawsuit

The lawsuit says the city of Baton Rouge has a "pervasive policy of tolerating racist behavior by some of its officers," and calls Sterling’s death a result of poor training and inadequate procedures.

The Justice Department said “prosecutors have concluded that the evidence is insufficient to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that” Baton Rouge police officers violated Sterling’s civil rights.
