Youth Shooting Sports Alliance Adds Four New Board Members

Omaha, NE-(Ammoland.com)- The Board of Directors of the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance (YSSA) voted recently to approve four new members at its annual SHOT Show meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Shirley Stefan, Mike Vrooman, Kevin Renwick and Drew Herbst were added to the board to continue the mission of providing quality shooting equipment to youth programs across the country.

“These new members epitomize a dedication to youth shooting sports and are tasked with helping to identify new ventures and avenues that will increase the number of programs we enlist,” according to Dick Placzek, YSSA Board President. “They each bring a different skill set to the table and we’re looking forward to their respective expertise.”

  • Shirley Stefan, Sales Director of Media Lodge, has been involved in the hunting and shooting sports since 1989 and has worked across all segments of the industry. Her expertise in communications will prove to be a boon to the working board.
  • Mike Vrooman, Managing Director Member Services for the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), bridges the gap between organizations that have the same vision and drive for youth programs. Mike brings nonprofit experience and a wealth of knowledge from his years with the NSSF.
  • Kevin Renwick, Director of Sales at The Safariland Group, is the father of a young son and realizes the importance of providing quality equipment to youth programs. It is his desire to provide the same mentorship to other youth that he received as a child.
  • Drew Herbst, Program and Event Manager with Springfield Armory, is adept at fundraising and has helped numerous programs such as the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. He is an accomplished shooter and hunter.
