World’s largest Super Soaker can cut a watermelon in half (VIDEO)

Backyard engineer Mark Rober wanted to upscale his waterfighting capability so he crafted a seven-foot-long Super Soaker capable of sending a stream of water water at 272mph.

After consulting with the actual Super Soaker inventor, Lonnie Johnson, and tapping in the assistance of Rober’s buddy Bob, they built a record-setting water gun (cannon?) that is still nominally portable. Powered by nitrogen gas, the trigger feeds to an AA battery linked solenoid. It runs at 2400 psi, or about eight times as powerful as a fire truck water hose.
