ROLLA, MO –-(Ammoland.com)- Women’s interest and participation in the tradition of hunting has been accelerating at head-turning speeds lately.
In response to this important trend, “The Women’s Outdoor News,” aka The WON, launched a new series at its e-zine titled Hot Caliber Huntress. Who better to kick off the new section at The WON than the Captain of Team Smith &Wesson, Julie Golob, who also is a huntress.
Golob exemplifies high standards and ethics when it comes to hunting and the traditions associated with it.
The series is underwritten by Hot Caliber Jewelry, an L.A.-based online jewelry store that fashions beautiful silver jewelry from spent ammunition. Manos Phoundoulakis, proprietor of Hot Caliber, worked with Golob on the line.
“The concept of Hot Caliber was created as a way for shooters to display their passion for shooting with a unique and beautiful piece of jewelry represented by a flattened bullet cast in a precious metal. I am so excited about the newest addition to the line that is geared specifically for the huntress. I know it is impossible for a huntress to ‘wear’ her accomplishments and carry them with her, so I have created a way for her to commemorate a particular hunt with the new ‘Huntress’ design,” said Phoundoulakis.
“We’ve taken the original Hot Caliber design concept of a flattened bullet and added a selection of various species to honor the hunter. The ‘Huntress Series’ offers the option of engraving the details of the hunt on the back of each piece. A beautiful way to show off a special moment, ” he added. Golob’s jewelry displays a mule deer antler on the front and an engraved date on the back, signifying her hunt date.
“This Hot Caliber Huntress jewelry elegantly embodies the passion of the individual huntress. It represents strength and perseverance. I love pieces of jewelry that remind me of wonderful moments in my life,” stated Golob in the column at The WON.
