A Missouri woman who was shot in the head during a drive-by shooting Wednesday morning was alert and talking when police showed up.
The woman was in her home in Ferguson, an area that’s been hounded with mayhem since an officer gunned down an unarmed teen, when a car drove by her house and fired between five to eight shots. One of the rounds struck the victim in the forehead and when police responded to the scene she was not only conscious, but talkative, KSDK reports.
Just an hour after the shooting and less than a mile away from the victim’s house, St. Louis County deputies shot a suspect who pointed a gun at them.
The victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated for her wounds. She was listed in stable condition and doctors said she is expected to survive.
