Authorities are searching for two individuals responsible for an attempted carjacking outside of an Atlanta gas station Saturday night.
Surveillance video shows Jasmine Warren walking out of the store and over to her car, which was parked just outside the front door, when she was approached by two men, who were armed.
The men assaulted Warren as they attempted to steal her car, hitting her around the face and head numerous times with a handgun. And while the suspects were successful in getting inside the car and even backing the car up a bit, Warren never stopped fighting.
“I tried to reach for the gun, grab the gun, but he grabbed me back down,” Warren said. “I just yanked the key down. Key broke into half.”
With the key broke off in the ignition, the suspects become stranded, so at that point, they simply robbed Warren of her cell phone and took off.
“God had me. He surrounded me and I was so thankful for that, but I also knew I wasn’t going to let them take my stuff,” Warren said after the frightening encounter. “That this is mine and it does not belong to you.”
Ironically, Warren works with troubled youth and has an unexpected message for those who beat her and tried to take her car.
“If you need help, come find me. I would love to help you,” Warren said.
