A North Carolina couple was arrested last week after an incident over an order of chicken wings at a Wilmington restaurant ended with the woman waving a gun around in the establishment.
Clarissa Gagum, 24, and her husband, Rasheem Gagum, 24, went to FU Wangz Thursday but instead of getting bone-in wings, as ordered, the couple received boneless wings. An argument ensued and eventually, Clarissa walked out to her car then returned with a gun.
“Any other time, like I order my food they get the order wrong, they replace it for me,” Gagum later told reporters. “Yesterday they did not do that. They didn’t want to give us the money back. They didn’t even want to replace the food. I guess he had a bad day and took it out on us or whatever.”
When officers arrived, Clarissa was sitting outside on the sidewalk with the gun still in her hand. She was arrested and charged with two counts of assault by pointing a gun and injury to personal property. Her husband was charged with resisting arrest. Both posted bond and were released later that evening.
No shots were fired, but according to the restaurant’s owner, Clarissa cut her hand when she hit the gun on a glass tip jar. The owner was a bit taken aback by the whole thing, but more so that it was all over some chicken wings.
