Decorated veteran brings additional military expertise to new business division.
NORMAN, Okla. – -(Ammoland.com)- Blue Heron Consulting, a newly formed business division of Blue Heron Communications, announces the hiring of William “Mitch” Mitchell to the post of regional manager.
In his new role, Mitchell, who will be headquartered in Columbus, Ga., will manage the building and maintaining of relationships with select law enforcement and military units along the East Coast, reporting directly to Blue Heron Consulting President, Steve Denny.
Prior to joining Blue Heron Consulting, Mitchell most recently worked for Zelosport as a project manager and was directly involved with the company’s launch, product development, marketing, and investor relations. Mitchell’s entrance into the private sector came on the heels of his 23-year career in the U.S. Army, from which he retired as a Command Sergeant Major.
A native of Hattiesburg, Miss., Mitchell left the service as a veteran of five combat operations and was the recipient of a host of commendations, including two Bronze Stars, the Legion of Merit, four Meritorious Service medals and many others. Mitchell’s extensive military training included U.S. Army Ranger, Airborne, Pathfinder and Air Assault schools plus many other specialized courses.
