Brooklyn Center, MN -(Ammoland.com)- Wildlife Forever’s fight with invasive species reached 302 million impressions this past year thanks to dedicated partners and members giving back.
2014 efforts included primetime television spots (Nature Warriors) as seen on North American Hunter Television and North American Fisherman Television program. Additional outreach included nearly 100 highway billboards across the Midwest, light boxes at the Minneapolis International Airport and ads in local papers and on the radio. All touted the Clean Drain Dry prevention message.
Marketing grassroots prevention is core to the national partnership that targets outdoor audiences. “The impacts of invasive species seriously threaten our resources and the economy of this great country. We’re grateful for partners at the Minnesota DNR, Iowa DNR, USDA Forest Service, Department of Interior, EPA and countless lake associations and other groups who contributed funds and work together to raise awareness,” said Pat Conzemius, Conservation Director at Wildlife Forever.
Invasive species ruin habitat and are the number one reason for Endangered Species listing today. Compounding effects from climate change also provide a competitive advantage for non-native plants and animals, reducing the quality of and access to healthy natural resources. Working together to raise Clean Drain Dry prevention awareness saves time, money, and in the end habitat for the next generation.
Through coordinated media marketing, grassroots outreach and consistent communications, Wildlife Forever and partners reach millions of hunters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts each year.
