Firearms maker War Sport boasts new calibers and products for 2017, with the new additions set to debut at the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show in Las Vegas this week.
The North Carolina-based company announced both the War Sport GPR-High Caliber and WS-9 last week.
Billed as the gun for serious hunters, the GPR-HC is an AR-10-style rifle chambered in .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor. The rifle features a billet upper and lower receiver with a War Sport muzzle brake. The GPR-HC is available with 18, 20 and 22-inch barrel lengths.
The WS-9 is chambered in 9mm and uses Glock-style magazines. Each model is engineered from American-made parts which include an enhanced trigger, short throw selector and War Sport muzzle device.
In addition to new guns, the company is also set to debut new calibers for its flagship Low Visibility Operations Application line. War Sport says it has finally answered the call of consumers and is prepared to unleash a high caliber version LVOA chambered in .308/7.62 NATO and 6.5 Creedmoor as well as a LVOA-9 in 9mm.
The LVOA-9 will come in three configurations — a 8.75-inch barrel SBR, a 16-inch barrel carbine, and a 8.75-inch barrel pistol. All War Sport LVOA guns now come with the Magpul M-LOK rail design.
No word yet on pricing or exactly when these new models will begin to ship.
