Virginia Firearms Freedom Act Passed Sub Committee
Virginia –-(AmmoLand.com)- Delegate Athey’s HB 886, the Virginia Firearms Freedom Act was combined with Delegate Carrico’s HB 69, which is an identical bill.
The bills passed sub committee in a 4 -1 vote.
The bill establishes that guns and ammunition made in VA and possessed in VA are exempt from federal control via the 10th Amendment.
It was a party vote with the 4 Republicans in favor and the lone Democrat opposed.
There was much opposition testimony by those who believe that guns kill.
Please call your delegate and ask them to support HB 69.
