Elsberry, MO –-(Ammoland.com)-  Next time you are at the campsite, processing a deer from a successful hunt, out on the boat fishing or anywhere else you may be hanging out, turn up the music with the NUU Splash Wireless Speaker.

The NUU Splash is like the Mighty Mouse of Speakers.  It’s a portable wireless speaker that allows you to easily connect your device via Bluetooth or with the included audio input cable.  The NUU Splash boasts three speakers for a load, clear sound in a small package that weighs about 1 pound.

The Splash is built to travel and work in a wide range of conditions.  For starters, the NUU Splash is made out of an aircraft-grade aluminum casing so it’s pretty rugged. The unit is also water and dust resistant with an IP55 Rating. So if you’re traveling to the back country and want to take along the music, the NUU Splash is up to the challenge. The speaker also comes with a travel bag.

As far as sound quality goes, it’s pretty good.  I wasn’t blown away, but I wasn’t disappointed either.  Music sounds great through it and so do voices.  The speakers don’t peak out when the volume is turned all the way up.

It’s very easy to connect to the speaker using the Bluetooth capability.  I hooked up my iPhone and iPad with no problems.  One cool feature is that adjusting the volume on the device adjusts the volume of the speaker.  There are also volume buttons on top of the speaker.

If you get a call while you are listening to music, there is a button on top of the Splash that you can push to basically turn it into a speaker phone. There is a slight lag when using it as a speaker phone but the call quality is really nice and it works well if you are using it like a conference call with other people talking.  This feature only works when connected to the Splash using Bluetooth.

If connected via Bluetooth, you can shuffle between songs with the arrow buttons.  You can also pause music with the pause/play button.  You cannot use these features if you are using the audio input cable.

The NUU Splash has a rechargeable battery and will run for around 10 hours depending on use.

I have used this speaker quite a bit and have enjoyed it.  It allows me to have nice sound quality in a small package wherever I’m at.  The ruggedness of the design and the fact that it’s water and dust resistant lets me not worry about where I’m using it.  It’s also nice to use it with my iPad when I’m watching a movie and to add some nice sound.

You can get these on Amazon for about $100 for the Mossy Oak camouflage model.  If camo isn’t your color, there are other colors available.

Quality: It’s a well made product with nice sound. At a price of $100 you get a nice portable speaker.

Reliability:  It’s ready for travel and don’t worry about this thing getting a little water or dust on it.

Price/Value: At $100 you get nice sound quality and a rugged speaker.  Sure there are other wireless portable speakers out there but look to spend $50-$100 more.

Referability: If you are wanting portable sound and love the great outdoors, this may be the speaker for you.
