When a Seattle man discovered that someone had broken into his house and spent the night in his basement to apparently have a warm place to get high, he prepared for the man’s return. But what the suspect wasn’t prepared for was the Paratrooper’s iron fists.
Andrew Myers and his girlfriend, Megan Pierowicz, were completely unaware that a man had spent the night in their basement until after they found clothes and cigarette butts belonging to the man and later saw him on their surveillance video.
“He was moving around my house,” Megan said. “It was so scary.”
But the couple anticipated that the suspect would return and Saturday night he did. From the live surveillance video, Andrew saw the man approaching his house, so he confronted him.
“I said, ‘What’s up?’ And he said, ‘I live here,’ and I said, ‘You definitely do not live here,’ and he said ‘Who are you?’ And I said, ‘I do live here buddy,’” Andrew explained. “He takes a big step backwards and throws a big haymaker.”
The suspect didn’t land the punch, but the rest of the brawl – which Andrew won – was caught on video.
When the police arrived, they arrested the suspect and noted on the police report, “Assailant attempted an assault to break free. He lost.”
