Vermont State Rifle & Pistol Association Holds Shooting Fundraiser To Benefit UVM Gun Cats
BURLINGTON, Vt. –-(Ammoland.com)- The Vermont State Rifle & Pistol Association (VSRPA) is sponsoring a .22 Rimfire Pistol Steel Challenge match at the Lamoille Valley Fish and Game Club in Morrisville, Vt. this Saturday, October 8.
The entry fee is $20 in advance, $25 the day of the match, and all proceeds go to benefit the University of Vermont Shooting Sports Club, the Gun Cats.
The match, which is supported by Glock and Revision Eyewear, will begin at 9:00am and features the same four Steel Challenge stages used in the Scholastic Steel Challenge in which the UVM team competes.
Members of the UVM Gun Cats will be on hand to serve as range officers and scorers for each stage.
“The UVM Gun Cats were one of the first teams to jump into SSC’s collegiate competition.
This weekend’s fundraiser is a great way to help the shooting sports grow and thrive at the collegiate level, as well as support the Gun Cats,” said Scott Moore, director of the Scholastic Steel Challenge.
Saturday’s fundraiser is open to anybody that would like to give .22 rimfire pistol competition a try.
Prizes will be awarded in the Men’s, Women’s and Junior’s categories along with various pistol classifications.
