The owners at Sea Bears Fish House in downtown Ogden like to wear kilts, serve Scottish fare, and openly carry handguns.
Tony and Monika Siebers along with their two oldest sons who work in the restaurant first started carrying openly while waiting for their concealed carry permits, but have stuck with it because, well, it’s a Second Amendment right and they own the place.
They advise the overwhelming majority of customers are supportive, and an icebreaker of sorts with patrons.
“It opens up conversations with customers about whatever, whichever topic that they want to discuss,” Tony Siebers said. “Whenever customers come in we either get when they say ‘Can I ask you a question,’ we know it’s either about the kilt or the firearms.”
