Utah -(Ammoland.com)- You can learn how to shoot guns, catch fish in a fishing pond and ride all-terrain vehicles at Outdoor Adventure Days
And it won’t cost you a dime. The event is free.
The free event will be held June 12 and June 13 at the Lee Kay Public Shooting Range, 6000 W and 2100 South, in Salt Lake City. You can learn more about the event — including the activities you and your family can participate in — atoutdooradventuredays.com.
Trish Engel, special events coordinator for the Division of Wildlife Resources, says the DWR, the Mule Deer Foundation and Cabela’s have put the free event together to give you a taste of what’s waiting for you in Utah’s outdoors. Trained instructors will also be available to teach you outdoor activities you’ve always wanted to try.
At the event, you can catch catfish in a fishing pond; ride an all-terrain vehicle; shoot guns and bows and arrows; try your hand at cowboy action shooting; and watch trained retrieving dogs in action. You can even shoot a .50-caliber rifle.
Horses from Hardware Ranch will also be available to pull you in a wagon from activity to activity.
“And that’s just a taste of what’s waiting for you,” Engel says.
The event runs from noon – 7 p.m. on June 12, and 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on June 13.
More than 20 organizations, including Sportsman’s Warehouse and Remington, have partnered with the DWR, the MDF and Cabela’s to make the event possible.
