Los Angeles, Calif. –-(Ammoland.com)- Sara Price, professional Motocross and Off-Road Champion, announced today that she has joined the UFD Racing team as a racer for Stadium SUPER Trucks (SST) competitions for the rest of 2016 and the full 2017 season.
The announcement follows her recent impressive finish at SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks Presented by TRAXXAS at Honda Indy Toronto in July 2016. Price made history as part of her debut by being the first woman ever to start an SST event and first female to lead an SST race.
The 23-year-old Canyon Lake, California, native has gained recognition for her record-setting achievements in the areas of Motocross and Supercross racing. In the Motocross Industry, she became the first-ever factory-supported female racer under Monster Energy Kawasaki. Additionally, Price has also received medals for her involvement in the X-Games and Championships in UTV Racing. To date, she has garnered more than 23 championship wins in Motocross, UTVs and street disciplines of racing.
At her Toronto debut, Price not only dominated the front of the pack, but also kept her 650-horsepower BitTorrent No. 78 Stadium SUPER Truck without a scratch in her first SST race, while grabbing attention from fellow competitors and excited spectators and fans.
Following a record-breaking performance at her first SST event in Toronto, Price has her sights firmly fixed on returning to the track to lead more laps and ultimately capture her first SST podium finish.
“I have the honor of racing with an elite platform of SST professionals such as Paul Morris, Sheldon Creed and Robby Gordon,” Price said. “With my experience in Toronto, I think I proved that I belong up front and earned respect as a competitor in the series. I can’t thank BitTorrent enough for giving me the opportunity by supporting me for my first race in the trucks and open doors for my racing career. I am grateful for this opportunity to represent UFD Racing in the SST series. The UFD Racing team has been incredibly supportive of my ambitions and has made my dreams come true of being a full-time SST competitor.”
“Sara Price represents what skill, talent and tenacity combined can achieve on the SST track,” said Bill Hynes of UFD Racing. “With her accomplished racing career, Sara has gained respect among her competitors and has demonstrated the utmost level of professionalism in every race she approaches. I am thrilled that we at UFD Racing have this opportunity to work with Sara as she makes her debut behind the wheel with
Team UFD.”
Price will compete alongside UFD Racing teammates Bill Hynes, owner, and Paul Morris, manager. She will participate in the rest of the 2016 Stadium SUPER Truck Series along with a full season in 2017. The next race will be held Aug. 19–21 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
