Commenting on the importance of the firearms industry in New Hampshire, Rubens states:
“I am so proud and impressed by the knowledge and professionalism that thousands of our neighbors bring to their work in the firearms industry here in New Hampshire. With thousands of good-paying jobs and a terrific entrepreneurial spirit, these manufacturers, gun shops and training facilities contribute greatly to our economy. Not only do citizens who work here benefit, but so does law enforcement from all over the country and other nations who come here to gain valuable skills to keep our communities and country safe. We need to protect this vital industry and I am committed to doing just that.”
Rubens earned an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association based on his voting record while serving in the State Senate. With today’s endorsements, Sen. Rubens’ consistent defense of the Constitutional rights afforded by the 2nd amendment is galvanizing New Hampshire’s gun rights advocates.
Bill Frady of Gun Owners of America, stated on his nationally syndicated radio show that Rubens “supports the 2nd amendment” and “passes the litmus test“. In showing his support of Rubens, Frady says,
“This is somebody that (NH voters) need to get behind… You have a homegrown Patriot right there in New Hampshire and that is Jim Rubens”.
