Leander, TX -(AmmoLand.com)- Two (2) LaRue rifles fetched $95,000.00 at an NRA-ILA auction benefit at the Houston Safari Club banquet.
A few weeks back I got asked to whip something up they could auction, so I did just that – two somewhat matching PredatOBR 260 Rem.
Engraved logos to make them unique, added scopes, range finders, mounts, hard case and ammo, invited them for a valet shop pick up and tour, then threw in a couple good auctioneers, Col. Oliver North and Governor Rick Perry … shazam, $95K.

I took this pic too …
Since I was making this thing up as I went along, and realized late that we needed a range finder, special credit goes to our purchasing guru Blair Johnson for tracking down the two Silencerco Radius Range Finders over Memorial Day weekend and getting them here doubly fast. And thanks to an ARFcommer that gave me the lead to the location of the Radius RFers – Cabelas, yep, we paid retail for the two Radius units.
We drove off headed to Houston when I realized we make suppressors too – yep, we drove back and grabbed two (2) TranQuilos.
Anyhow, this was for a damn good cause and we’d like to thank everyone involved, thanks so much for inviting us in to set new records.
