There is a time and place for gun-themed stilettos, and apparently the Baltimore Washington International Airport isn’t one of those places, according to the Transportation Security Administration.
The questionable footwear, which also came with matching bracelets, all tucked away in a carry-on bag, left one passenger delayed before she finally decided to toss the accessories instead of taking a chance on missing her flight just to get them into checked baggage.
TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein tweeted out a “friendly reminder” with a photo of the shoes, noting “realistic replica firearms and ammunition are not permitted past TSA checkpoints.” The tweet was met with some not-so-nice comments.
