Some are outraged after a video surfaced on the internet Sunday showing what appears to be a convoy of military vehicles driving down a Louisville highway while at least one sports a Trump flag.
Chris Rowzee, a spokeswoman for IndivisibleKY, a self-described activist organization, said the sight was very disturbing and “reminiscent of Nazi Germany.”
Defense Department spokesman Maj. Jamie Davis confirmed that flying such a flag on a military vehicle is not standard procedure and violates regulations. However, Davis also pointed out that it’s against regulations to run a convoy with no markings on the vehicles. Davis suggested they were likely military surplus vehicles and not being used by any active-duty military units.
Thus far, no military officials have claimed the vehicles as being their own.
