SUPERIOR, Wis. -(Ammoland.com)- After several years of extensive research and design, Tru-Fire, the leading archery release brand, has unveiled the company’s first back-tension-style release, the Sear.
Feature-packed, extremely adjustable and easily user-configurable as either a three-finger or a four-finger release, the Sear was designed from the ground up with a single purpose: to win competitive archery championships.
At the heart of the Sear is Tru-Fire’s patent-pending, four-sided variable-click sear. The four sides of the precision-ground stainless steel sear provide the archer’s choice of no-click, short-click, medium-click and long-click settings, which can be changed in a matter of minutes.
Each sear has a long hot/cold adjustment range and can be adjusted precisely to the archer’s exact travel preference via a setscrew on both sides of the sear body. The one-piece anodized aluminum release head is precision machined to ensure perfect engagement of the sear and the finely ground stainless steel string hook for a consistent release, shot after shot.
The Sear’s ergonomic handle is CNC milled from solid brass and is finished with a Black Chrome coating for increased durability. The release head is attached to the handle by way of a captured stainless steel pivot pin that allows the head to rotate smoothly and consistently.
The handle comes with two anodized-aluminum finger extensions; the first provides a hook that wraps the ring finger for a three-finger configuration, and the second adds a fourth-finger option. The color-matched aluminum thumb post can be placed in one of three positions on the handle.
The Sear is available with five anodizing color options for the head, finger extensions and the thumb post: Neo Yellow, Neo Orange, teal, green, and red.
The new Tru-Fire Sear release is available at retailers nationwide and conveniently online for a suggested retail price of $149.99.
