Tempe, AZ & Billings, MT -(AmmoLand.com)- Trimble Outdoors today launched private land map updates across its suite of web, mobile, and printed map products.
This latest release grows the available private land coverage to more than 140.7 million properties, covering 86% of all the counties in the United States. With private land maps, customers can view private property lines, parcel numbers, address, and landowner names (as available).
The newest private land release includes 46 counties not covered before, updates to 594 counties, and adds more than 2.7 million new properties.
Anyone from hunters to realtors and land managers can pick the best map format for their private land interests. Use private lands to stay on or avoid properties, to find access points into public lands, or as a comprehensive resource to research landowners.
Private land overlays can be added to several base maps in both digital and printed formats.
Mobile Maps & Online Maps
Trimble Outdoors makes it easy to know whose land you are on at all times. Customers can instantly download private land info by county onto iPhone, iPad, or Android devices. In addition to property lines and landowner details, each mobile download includes topo basemaps and color-coded public land overlays in 18 different zoom levels. Offline aerial-satellite imagery can also be downloaded separately for additional detail.
Once the maps are installed in the mobile app, users can view their GPS location and see offline maps without cell towers. Mark waypoints, collect tracks and photos, and navigate to points with the GPS-enabled mobile app in the field too.
In addition, private land maps can be viewed in Trip Planner, an online map editing tool at TrimbleOutdoors.com. Use Trip Planner to pre-plan and scout locations by consulting 11 different map types and overlay private and public lands borders. Print or export (.PDF) private land maps from a PC or Mac too.
