A female transgender killer blamed her male persona for the murder of three prostitutes in Spokane, Washington.
Donna Perry blames the shooting murder of three prostitutes on her former male persona.
Donna Perry, 62, used to live her life as a man. She is accused of having fatally shot three prostitutes and dumping their naked bodies on the banks of the Spokane River in 1990. After that Perry underwent gender reassignment surgery and now lives life as a female and says her former persona, Doug, was the one responsible for the murders, not Donna, the Huffington Post reports.
“I’m not going to admit I killed anybody, I didn’t,” Perry said. “Donna has killed nobody.”
When asked if “Doug” murdered the women Perry replied, “I don’t know if Doug did or not. It was 20 years ago and I have no idea whether he did or did not.”
The case of the three murdered prostitutes was cold for nearly two decades but a break in 2012 linked Perry to the crimes. She is being held in a Spokane County jail on a $1 million bond.
The prostitutes were fatally shot and then their naked bodies were dumped on the banks of the Spokane River.
When detectives asked why she didn’t continue murdering people she said, “Douglas didn’t stop, Donna stopped it.”
