Two men suspected of gang activity were arrested following a traffic stop in Richmond, California, Saturday evening.
After officers initiated the stop and spoke with the driver, they smelled what was believed to be the scent of marijuana. Officers then searched the vehicle and found a loaded semi-automatic handgun as well as a 50-round drum of ammunition.
The driver and passenger were both already involved in other investigations at the time of the stop and were arrested on suspicion of gun and gang-related offenses. The suspects, who were compliant with the officers commands, were not named due to ongoing investigations.
