Covington VA –-(Ammoland.com)- Hats off to the Town of Woodstock for moving quickly to remove “no guns” signs from their W.O. Riley Park after I notified them of the issue.
Thanks to the Town Attorney, Albert Mitchell, and the Town Manager, Reid Wodicka for their professional attention to the matter.
Virginia Citizens Defense League handles such matters by first trying to work with the locality to get the issue resolved amicably in a “no-fuss-no-muss” manner.
That is exactly what happened in Woodstock, VA.
If a locality decides to not work with us to resolve the issue amicably, we then can escalate to getting our members involved in an email and phone call campaign along with our attendance at a meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Town Council, or City Council, all in conjunction with notifying the press.
Finally, if that doesn’t work, we then can pursue the last resort – legal action.
