AutoOrdnance announced this week the availability of a new reproduction of the classic “Tommy Gun,” featuring gold or chrome finish.
Both models are chambered in .45 ACP and are equipped with a 16.5-inch finned barrel that’s topped by a 1.5-inch compensator. The steel frame contributes to the total weight of 13 pounds and an overall length of 41 inches.
Other features include a pinned-in front blade and adjustable, open rear sight. The finish is American walnut, including the iconic vertical foregrip.
Ammunition is fed by a 50-round drum or 20-round stick magazine. Both are included with purchase, and both are finished in gold or chrome to match.
A protective hard case emblazoned with “Chicago Typewriter” is included. For full-on period effect, buyers may also opt for a classic violin case, an aftermarket product priced at $221.
The $2,963 price tag is indicative of these guns’ collector status. They’re available in Titanium Gold and the Polished Chrome.
