Thule once again will sponsor the silent auction, with all proceeds going directly to support local outdoor community projects.
Washington, DC -(AmmoLand.com)- Thule, a world leader in products that make it easy for people to transport the things they care for, signed on as platinum level partner and sponsor of the silent auction for the 2015 Outdoor Foundation’s Outsiders Ball.
The Ball, in its third year, will rally the outdoor industry in support of a single cause: inspiring a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts, champions, and customers. The epic event will take place at the Gallivan Center on August 4th at 6 pm.
“Thule employees are united by their passion for helping active families and outdoor enthusiasts, so it’s easy for us to get excited about the mission of the Outdoor Foundation, as well as the Outsider’s Ball. It’s amazing to see the reach of this event during the course of each year, and how many unique ways there are to introduce people to an active live in the great outdoors.”
As part of the silent auction area, Thule has donated two packages; one with all the gear needed for carrying cargo for outdoor adventures and one for family transport needs. Here are all of the 35 experiences, services and items that will be auctioned off during the Outsiders Ball. Attendees will be able to bid and auto bid on items up to a desired amount—and receive alerts when they’ve been outbid.
“The response from our industry is a testament to the business imperative of this issue — activating a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts,” said Chris Fanning, executive director of The Outdoor Foundation. “We are so grateful to Thule for its extraordinary support and industry leadership – coming on-board as a platinum sponsor for a third year! I hope that other organizations, large and small, will get involved in our industry’s party with a purpose.”
Over the last two years, industry leaders have joined together to rally around one common cause – inspiring a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts. Hosted by the Outdoor Foundation, Outsiders Ball has raised over $700,000 to support 200 community projects across the country – many recommended by local retailers.
