T/C Dimension Named ‘Rifle of the Year’ by American Hunter Magazine.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Smith & Wesson Corp. announced that the Thompson/Center Arms Dimension Bolt-Action Platform has received the National Rifle Association (NRA) Golden Bullseye Award for “Rifle of the Year” from American Hunter magazine.
This year’s nomination marks the fourth time Thompson/Center Arms has received the prestigious award in the rifle category with past winners including the Encore Pro Hunter, ICON and Venture rifles.
Voted on by a committee of NRA editors and staff, the Golden Bullseye Awards have come to symbolize the most innovative and reliable products currently available for today’s consumers. Thompson/Center Arms will be presented with the award during the 2013 NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits in Houston, TX.
While reviewing the T/C Dimension, American Hunter staff members characterized the bolt-action platform by saying:
The design and function of this new rifle platform…carries with it something intangible. In the case of the Dimension, that something is performance, offering switch-barrel versatility backed by Thompson/Center’s sterling reputation for accuracy.
Providing shooters with the ability to modify the caliber of their rifle by changing no more than four components, the Dimension Bolt-Action Platform brings together an innovative and intuitive design with the very latest advancements in engineering. Transitioning between barrels is a simple process that can be accomplished by most users in under two minutes through the use of the Locking Optimized Components (LOC) lettering system, which identifies the four caliber families. Available in ten different calibers with both left and right-handed models, the Dimension rifle is MOA (minute of angle) guaranteed, when using premium ammunition, with every barrel that is installed.
Additional features that hunters will find invaluable once in the field include a user-adjustable trigger and an unloaded weight of just 7 lbs. The T/C Dimension is standard with removable spacers in the stock for adjusting length of pull and an ARMORSOFT coating on the stock for added durability and noise reduction.
