Franklinville, NY -(Ammoland.com)- Senior executives from Ontario Knife Company and its parent company Servotronics, Inc. (NYSE – SVT) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 12th for the new expansion to its historic Franklinville, New York manufacturing facility.

An American manufacturer since 1889, OKC received development support for the multi-million dollar 28,000 square foot facility and equipment upgrade initiative in the form of the previously reported $416,000 New York State Community Development Block Grant from the Office of Community Renewal, a $300,000 Casino Funds Grant approved by the Cattaraugus County Legislature, as well as sales and property tax abatements and exemptions through the County of Cattaraugus Industrial Development Agency. The plant expansion and equipment upgrade is part of a previously reported multiyear investment project launched by OKC President and CEO Kenneth D. Trbovich.

“This ceremony marks the completion of the first phase of our comprehensive plan to invest in Ontario Knife’s people, equipment, and physical plant,” said Trbovich.  “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our employees and our state, county, local and legislative partners who helped make this effort such a resounding success.” 

Ontario Knife Company Executive Vice President and Chief Manufacturing Officer Robert Breton added, “Ontario Knife Company’s employees have over 800 years of combined knife making experience and this expansion will help us to get the most out of our knowledgeable and dedicated team.”

Breton, who is also the Mayor of the Village of Franklinville, continued “Ontario Knife is proud to be part of this community and is excited to invest in Franklinville with this project.”

Among the dignitaries scheduled to be in attendance are: United States Congressman Tom Reed; New York State Senator Cathy Young; New York State Assemblyman Joe Giglio; Members of the Cattaraugus County Legislature; Servotronics, Inc. President / Ontario Knife Company President and CEO Kenneth D. Trbovich; Servotronics Board Member and United States Navy Reserve Commander Rigel D. Pirrone; and Ontario Knife Company Executive Vice President and Chief Manufacturing Officer / Village of Franklinville Mayor Robert J. Breton.
