The first production polymer pistol now at age 46 (VIDEO)

The Military Arms Channel takes a look at the collectible Heckler and Koch VP70, a product of the Age of Aquarius that held a number of firsts.

The blowback action striker-fired Volkspistole 70 was originally designed to be the next great machine pistol by HK and its polymer frame beat the Glock 17 to the punch by more than a decade.

Paper thin and holding 18 rounds, it was forward thinking for the day, but as MAC noted, it has a lot of thorns.
