Alexandria, VA -(Ammoland.com)- AFRA, the American Firearms Retailers Association, a trade association for brick-and-mortar firearms retailers, announced today that it has formally selected a retailer Advisory Committee.
AFRA Advisory Committee members represent a cross section of the firearms retailer and range community. Along with their strong leadership qualities and vast experience and knowledge of both the retailer market place and firearms industry, the AFRA Advisory Committee will be paramount to the success of AFRA and its members. The AFRA Advisory Committee will help formulate strategies to tackle core challenges facing retailers in order to ensure the viability of America’s firearms retailers for generations to come.
AFRA is pleased to announce the following retail leaders as members of the American Firearms Retailer’s Advisory Committee:
John Dury of Dury’s Gun Shop in Texas; Glenn Duncan of Duncan’s Outdoor Shop in Michigan; Ron Godwin of El Cajon Gun Exchange in California; Rex Gore of Black Wing Shooting Center in Ohio; Miles Hall of HH Shooting Sports in Oklahoma; Scott Hoffman of Hoffman’s Gun Center in Connecticut; Kris Jacob of Bullseye USA Inc. in California; Barry Laws of Open Range Sports in Kentucky; Jay Myers of Orca Arms in California; Ryan Pennock of Thunderbird Tactical in Kansas; Jeff Poet of Jays Sporting Goods in Michigan; Richard Sprague of Sprague’s Sport in Arizona; and Jay Wallace of Adventure Outdoors in Georgia.
“As a Nevada and California firearms retailer, I understand the additional constraints on a dealer’s ability to conduct business. Having an organization like AFRA will give all dealers, especially those in hyper-regulated states like California, a voice to protect our interests and grow our businesses and industry,” said Kris Jacob, owner, Bullseye USA Inc.
“I was pleased to be selected to be part of the first AFRA Advisory Committee and look forward to helping address the needs of retailers across the nation. The issues that face firearms retailers are unique to our industry and we must pull together as independent retailers to ensure we stay relevant to our customers and the shooting community,” stated Rex Gore, owner, Black Wing Shooting Center.
AFRA will have a booth at the upcoming AcuSport Business Conference and will participate in and be available at each of the upcoming trade shows in January and February and beyond.
