Austin, TX -(AmmoLand.com)- The TSRA Foundation is proud to announce the certification of twenty-two (22) new NRA Level 1 Shotgun and or Pistol Coaches to the state of Texas over the past month.

These new coaches are current and or future volunteers eager to provide our Texas Youth with the support they need in shooting sports and the continued support of our Second Amendment.

Daniel Subia, NRA National Coach Trainer commented, “The youth of America are our future leaders and the NRA Coach program gives coaches the leadership tools to develop these leaders through the competitive shooting sports.”

These coach schools are a part of the Foundations mission to provide education and support for shooting sports across Texas. Attendees vary from current and or new volunteers working with our Texas youth on the growth of shotgun or pistol shooting sports programs. By providing this important educational information we are positive that these programs will be successful in working with beginner to advanced youth shooters.

Coach school participants attended a two-day class that encompasses classroom instruction and range time. The classroom portion of these schools teach Safety and Risk Management, Coaching Ethics and Methodology, training planning, and fundamentals needed to work with beginning to intermediate shooters. Shotgun participants are instructed in American Trap & Skeet, Sporting Clays and International Trap & Skeet. Pistol participants are instructed on multiple pistol programs from air pistol to action pistol programs nationwide. Upon completion of the classroom, the participants are then given hands on range training, which provides these coaches with live experience with their chosen discipline.
