Texas Deer Association Launches Online ‘Deer Connection’ for Breeders
SAN ANTONIO — -(AmmoLand.com)- Networking is still one of the most successful methods for marketing and increasing business for those in the deer industry, and the Texas Deer Association (TDA) is pleased to announce the launch of an all-new online directory service for deer breeders — Deer Connection (www.DeerConnection.com).
Deer Connection offers deer farmers great opportunities to locate other breeders; search by specific genetics, species and ranches; review deer pedigrees, post classified ads to buy and sell deer, receive current industry news, and promote their businesses and their deer.
“As one of the country’s largest state associations to represent deer breeders, the TDA is dedicated to promoting and growing the deer industry by facilitating the marketing efforts of deer breeders. Deer Connection is another useful tool with which TDA can promote the industry and provide a valued service to its members,” says Karl Kinsel, executive director of the Texas Deer Association. “We’re particularly excited to provide this new service on a national scale. Deer Connection is not exclusive to Texas. Any breeder in any part of the country can benefit from the online service.”
Basic directory listings on Deer Connection and inclusion in the Breeder Locator service are free to all TDA members. However, Deer Connection offers a Premium Membership in which a breeder receives even greater benefits, such as pedigree charts, unlimited classified ads, images and information about their deer and their business. Breeders wanting to register for premium benefits may do so directly online by following the registration process. Non-TDA members wanting to receive a basic listing and be part of the Breeder Locator, can join TDA with an ‘Active’ level membership at www.TexasDeerAssociation.com and receive the free service.
The TDA is the only non-profit organization solely committed to improving the quality of Texas deer herds through better habitat practices, modern harvest strategies and use of superior deer to enhance the deer herds. As a part of its public education efforts, the TDA produces a full-color bimonthly publication, Tracks Magazine, which updates TDA members on current industry news, deer genetics and game management issues. The TDA also hosts an annual convention and trade show in August featuring fund-raising auctions, a deer auction, golf tournament and other events.
