San Antonio, TX -(Ammoland.com)- The state’s largest organization dedicated to deer and sportsmen’s rights, the Texas Deer Association (TDA) is proud to announce that five new members have been selected to serve on the association’s Board of Directors and 13 members have been elected as regional officers.
The new directors and officers have decades of experience in the deer industry and are all proven leaders in business as well as their respective communities. The newly elected board of directors for 2014 include Mark Hubbard of Mark Hubbard Ranch Properties in Boerne, Texas; John Hueske of Triple Threat Ranch in Somerville, Texas; Jeff Jones of Brown Trophy Whiteteail Ranch in Ennis, Texas; Zach Kennedy of JZ Whitetails in Gonzales, Texas; and Craig Wilson of Wilson Whitetail Ranch in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas
The new regional officers include: Region 3 — James Veitenheimer of Windthorst, Texas; and Steve Frisinia of Stephenville, Texas; Region 4 — Brett Anderson of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; Region 5 — Monty McGrede of Longview, Texas; John True of Dallas; and Jason Millegan of Georgetown, Texas; Region 6 — Chris McDaniel of Caldwell, Texas; Clint Calvery of Midlothian, Texas; and Jessica Rodriguez of Somerville, Texas; Region 7 — Kaci John of LaVernia, Texas; and Jeremy Cook of Gonzales, Texas; Region 8 — Steven Tipps of Corpus Christi, Texas and Heath Jauer of San Antonio.
“An organization’s dedication to its mission, service to its members and its vision for the future is always a reflection of its leadership, and we’re excited to welcome these new directors and officers to TDA leadership positions,” says Karl Kinsel, executive director for the Texas Deer Association. “Just as with all agricultural and ranch-based industries, there will always be challenges, such as over-regulation, management practices, disease prevention, industry growth and others. I’m confident that the Texas Deer Association leadership includes the best and brightest in our industry to face those challenges.”
The new board members and regional officers were officially installed during the TDA’s recent annual conference, held in San Antonio.

The TDA is committed to improving the quality of whitetail and mule deer herds through better habitat practices, modern harvest strategies and use of managed deer to enhance the herds. As a part of its public education efforts, the TDA produces a full-color bimonthly publication, Tracks Magazine, which updates TDA members on current industry news, deer genetics and game management issues. The TDA also hosts an annual convention and trade show every August featuring fund-raising auctions, a deer auction, golf tournament and other events.
