We look forward to SASP teams from across the country joining us for this match. The CCMU always puts on a great match and it is enjoyed by all who attend.”
“I am very pleased that the Corps of Cadets Marksmanship Unit (CCMU) will for the fourth year in a row host this prestigious event near Texas A&M University,” said Brigadier General Joe E. Ramirez, Jr., Commandant of the Corps. “The CCMU allows young men and women the opportunity to learn, train, and compete safely in the challenging sport of competitive shooting. Matches such as the Southwest Winter Regional allow these teams to test their training and precision, and is an opportunity to display those skills on a national stage. We are very appreciative of the collaboration with GLOCK USA, the TSRA Foundation and many others to bring this opportunity to fruition.”
The match will begin with a volley fired by the Cadet Corps own Parson Mounted Cavalry (https://www.facebook.com/tamupmc) and one of their field howitzers.
About The CCMU:
The CCMU was officially formed in December of 2011, but today’s squad represents the latest in over 100 years of history of marksmanship teams competing for the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M.
