Team SIG’s Max Michel Wraps Up 2009 Shooting Tournament Season
Wins Seven Titles, One Second Place
Exeter, NH –-(AmmoLand.com)- Team SIG Champion Shooter, Max Michel, has had a very successful 2009 season. This year marks Michel’s debut with “Team SIG” and as the new SIG SAUER Manager of Competitive Shooting Activities. As the Team Captain, Michel has won seven titles and one second place throughout the 2009 season.
This year Michel broke the NRA Speed Shoot-Off Event Record with the fastest time in Bianchi Cup history of 1.70 seconds. He also participated in the man-on-man steel shoot-off event with other top shooters at the IPSC tournament, as well as competed in two separate championship tournaments in different states within two days.
In 2009, Michel has won titles in the following tournaments:
- Area 6 Title in 2009 USPSA Championship
- 2009 NRA Bianchi Cup Pro-Am Shooting Event, Overall High Score
- Level IV sanctioned 2009 IPSC Pan American Championship, Gold Medal
- Area 1 National Championship, 1st place Overall in Limited-10 Division
- Steel Challenge World Speed Championships, Open Division 3rd Time Champion
- USPSA Practical Shooting Association Handgun National, 100% Match Winner in Open / Production Class 5th Time Champion
- 2009 Infinity Area 4 Championship
Michel finished a very close second place in the Area 5 National Championship, located in Dorr, Michigan, in the Limited-10 Division against the current National Champion.
