Madison, NC –-(Ammoland.com)- At the recent Caribbean Classic, Team Remington shot their way to several individual championship titles.
Long-time Team Remington shooter, Wendell Cherry, bested a field of 239 competitors by firing a 176/200 in the “Remington 200” main event and in turn, captured the Championship Title.
Not to be outdone, Team Remington member and 2011 National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) National Champion, Bill McGuire, topped the 105 competitors in the Federation Internationale de Tir Aux Sportives de Chasse (FITASC) event, finishing with a score of 95/100 for the title. McGuire also grabbed the Champions title in the Preliminary Event and the Seminole Cup Warm-up events to wrap-up an incredible weekend for Team Remington.
“This was an impressive start to the season for Wendell and Bill,” said John Bauer – Shooting Sports Manager for Remington. “Both of these shooters are coming off an incredible 2011 and look poised to continue dominating in 2012. I am really proud of both of them, and I can’t wait for the 2012 season to unfold.”
The Caribbean Classic was held at the Indian River Trap and Skeet Club in Vero Beach, Florida. The event was held on February 15 – 20, 2012.
