BEAVERTON, Ore. –-(Ammoland.com)- Team Leupold shooters dominated the podiums in their respective divisions at the 2014 NRA World Action Pistol Championship with wins in the Men’s, and Women’s Divisions, and as a member of the world champion women’s team.
Doug Koenig, the defending champion, took home the overall title with a score of 1918. Jessie Duff, the defending women’s champion, repeated her title with a score of 1907. The match, held every other year at locations around the world, was a home turf match for the American shooters held in Park City, Kentucky.
For New Zealand’s Tiffany Piper, shooting in the states is a minor hurdle. Piper was part of the first-place New Zealand’s women’s team, and the third female shooter overall with a score of 1891.
“The collective talent of these three competitors is simply unbelievable,” said Rob Morrison, Leupold & Stevens, Inc., vice president of global marketing. “Bianchi matches test your stamina, focus and accuracy to their limits. We’re just so proud of Doug, Jessie and Tiffany.”
This international competition is based on the famed Bianchi Cup, which will be held this weekend in Columbia, Missouri. Koenig, Duff and Piper are the defending champions in the men’s, women’s and junior divisions, respectively.
