Cookeville, TN –-(Ammoland.com)- Team JP Enterprises members, John Paul and Clark Kennedy loaded their magazines, grabbed water, rifles and rangefinders and headed into the rolling hills around Cookeville, TN to shoot in the Precision MultiGun Match on May 26-27.
They were competing against 49 other 2-person teams in a multiple-stage match that included physical obstacles, unorthodox shooting positions, “surprise” stages and shots ranging from 100 to 1100 yards.
Designed to test each competitor’s skills in a multitude of shooting scenarios, the Precision MultiGun Match required shooters to think outside the box and work as a team to negotiate a long, tough match over two days of taxing heat.
For the occasion, John Paul sported his JP LRP-07 chambered in .260 Remington topped with a US Optics SN3 TPAL while shooting hand loads using Hornady 123gr. A-Max and Superformance powder.
His partner, Kennedy made use of a similar LRP-07 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and topped with a Bushnell HDMR—a rifle he’d never even handled prior to the match. Nevertheless, Team JP Enterprises connected with target after target taking the lead during the first day and holding it to win with an impressive margin over the 2nd place team of two other JP-sponsored shooters, David Tapp and Jim Saunders.
“Shooting the JP LRP-07 gave us incredible accuracy as well as rapid shot-to-shot capability that really helped us rack up the points,” said Clark Kennedy. “The rifle’s performance was amazing. The accuracy and reliability are on par with any bolt gun, and the results show what this rifle is capable of doing.”
John Paul, president of JP Enterprises, remarked that, “One of the main reasons for our continued success is the first-hand experience I get at these kind of matches. Competitions like the PMG are the anvil that we forge our products on.”
