Legendary “American Sniper” Chris Kyle’s widow is set to compete against an NRA champion marksman with $1 million on the line.
The upcoming American Sniper Shootout, set for Dec. 5 in Mason, Texas, will pit Kyle– who is a novice shooter–against NRA World Champion Bruce Piatt. In September, Piatt beat out 150 other competitors at the Peacemaker National Training Center in Glengary, West Virginia, to pick up his current title.
The equalizer in the upcoming match will be a Tracking Point precision guided rifle issued to Kyle, while Piatt will use a traditional rifle.
If Piatt pulls out the win, he gets a $1 million cash prize.
Either way, the event will benefit the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, a non-profit that aims to provide time and space to military families to reconnect after deployments without the distractions of everyday life.
