Taliban publish video of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s handover to U.S. authorities

The Taliban have posted a nine plus minute video of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl being handed over to the Untied States. In exchange, the U.S. freed five Taliban leaders from Guantanamo Bay.

In the video Bergdahl can been seen dressed in traditional Afghan attire, surrounded by an immediate group of Taliban and auxiliary fighters hillside — a white flag is being waved by one of the captors. As the American Blackhawk helicopter lands, three out-of-uniform authorities approach and exchange handshakes with the enemy. Bergdahl can be seen carrying a plastic bag of what is assumed to be personal items. Before leaving the transfer site, Bergdahl was patted down and searched. The entire exchange took less than one minute.

As the Blackhawk helicopter takes off and the video ends, a misspelled message appears on the video — “Don’ come back to afghanistan.”
