Shiner, Texas –-(Ammoland.com)- Over nearly two and a half centuries we’ve seen fundamental changes in the way our society lives.
The role of the constable, the powers of the federal government, the American soldier, and even the gun are viewed differently now than they were when these United States were founded.
What’s more, citizens have changed. Americans have changed.
But what is still believed to be fundamentally just, were those statements made by brave men, who gathered around a parchment in a sweltering Philadelphia building, a document signed in blood as would be their penalty should they fail. These men issued their grievances to King George and challenged him to break across them.
What resulted from their struggle was a new kind of governing, a conglomeration of states whose primary agreement was that men are greater than monarchs. United together they would show the world that free men could make mere shadows out of kingdoms. The document that defines all of it is the Constitution of the United States of America.
It is the rule of law that keeps us free, and makes each individual citizen a king unto himself, responsible for his keep, and able to reap the rewards of his own hard labor.
The Oath of Office/Service/Citizenship that we know from watching television, or in our lives as soldiers or first responders, or as newly welcomed immigrants, speaks of a citizen’s responsibility to support and defend his own rights. It is all too often taken for granted. But for patriots all across this country, men and women who sacrifice and risk their lives, and civilians who speak and pray for America, this oath is a commitment made to their own virtue of freedom and prosperity.
Texas Black Rifle Company has partnered with Orca Industries to make the Patriot’s Oath morale patch. It’s just a small way to remind those around you why we are here. And it’s a great way to show your fellow citizens that you love and cherish the Constitution and that you will defend it from all enemies foreign and domestic.
If you have not already made the oath, stand up and say it in front of witnesses. This is the version that I believe to be the most appropriate:
Brian Lee Texas Black Rifle Company“I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the responsibilities of Citizen of the United States of America. So help me God.”

About Shield Tactical;
Shield Tactical is a family business. Though we are not all related by blood, the bond of 2nd ammendment supporters is just as strong. My name is John W. Harrington and I am the president and founder of Shield Tactical. I have been involved in student based firearm instruction for over ten years. Over that period of time, my philosophy has been simple – make it about the shooter. Every member of our team has heard me say (more than they care to count) “People don’t come to us to hear about how great we are or what we have done, they come to us for what we can do for them”.
