Based on their line of lightweight suppressors optimized for rimfire pistols and rifles, the new Ryder .22 Mini shaves ounces and inches from the legacy offering.

The Mini, capable of handling the whole rimfire lineup from .17HMR through .22WMR, was sneak peaked at SHOT Show earlier this year and is now available. With a length of 3.9-inches and a weight of 4-ounces, it comes in significantly shorter and lighter than the now-classic Ryder 22-S series.

The weight savings comes in large part to the can’s fluted aluminum tube while keeping heat-treated stainless steel internal baffles and a stainless back with standard 1/2x28TPI threads. The can is user serviceable, shipping with the required disassembly tool, while the pig-nosed baffles are numbered and indexed to take the guess-work out of reassembly.

Another thing that shrank on the Mini is the price. MSRP on the shorter can is $399 compared to the Ryder 22-S’s price of $469.
