Groves, TX -(AmmoLand.com)- Sure-Shot Game Calls, manufacturer of the world champion Yentzen duck call, first introduced the Triple Reed, Model #700 Duck Call in 1968.

Now, decades later, the Triple Reed in its new improved design is the pride of the Classic Duck Call Series. Like the Original Yentzen, the Original Sure-Shot Triple Reed Duck Call was also created by Jim “Cowboy” Fernandez back in the 1950s.

Borrowing from Fernandez’s quest for perfection and the best tonal qualities found in nature, Sure-Shot has designed the new Model #700 using the same proven and exacting specifications developed in the earlier design.

The body of the duck call has been cut from a single black walnut blank and then machined whole to give it a perfect grain finish. This same meticulous process is similar to that used for generations by firearm manufacturers on fine gun stocks. Next, Sure-Shot incorporated their proven Sure-Quack Triple Reed System to the trough giving the call a natural tonal quality. The Sure-Quack Peg Design allows the Triple Reed System to pivot perfectly giving the hunter greater control. Lastly, with triple reeds, comes flexibility. Should the first reed break, just flip it over to continue with another one. It’s like having 4-wheel drive on your duck call. All of these features ensure that the call will respond to the slightest air input which results in a rich tone – quick and effortlessly making every hunter sound like a pro caller.

The MSRP on the Sure-Shot Model #700 Classic Triple-Reed is $64.95.

About Sure-Shot Game Calls:

The 60+ year old company was founded by James “Cowboy” Fernandez and George Yentzen in Nederland, Texas in the early 1940s. After many prototypes, their first product, the 1950 patented Yentzen, became the very first double-reed duck call introduced to the marketplace. In 1959, Cowboy Fernandez entered several duck calling competitions and both he and the Yentzen Caller became world class champions. When the elderly Cowboy Fernandez backed off of production, Charlie Holder purchased the company in 2011. Today, Sure-Shot offers over two dozen game calls for waterfowl, predator, deer, and turkey.
