A Salt Lake City police sergeant was hospitalized after he got a little more than what he ordered at Subway restaurant Monday.
Authorities say the officer went by the Subway to pick up some lunch – a sandwich and a drink – but soon after taking a sip of his soda, he knew something was awry.
As it turned out, Subway employee 18-year-old Tanis Ukena slipped some THC and methamphetamine into the officer’s drink.
Ukena was arrested and charged with surreptitiously giving a poisonous substance, accusations which he denies.
