Now it won’t be necessary to decide between a laser or a light for your carry gun. Streamlight announced its gun light that combines a laser with a target-identifying light is now available for a wider range of subcompact pistols.
The Streamlight TLR-6, which allows operators the option to use a 300-lumen LED light, a red laser, or both at the same time, is offered for handguns like Glock 42 and 43, Smith & Wesson Shield, most Kahr 9mm models, and several Kimber and Sig Sauer pistols.
The mechanism mounts clamshell-style onto the front of the trigger guard, and it functions with a push button on/off switch by both both righties and lefties. Powered by two 3-volt CR-1/3N lithium coin batteries, run time lasts an hour with just the light, both options powered at the same time, or 11 hours with only the laser.
The laser can be zeroed at the user’s preferred distance and even stays dialed in after a battery change. Streamlight touts the TLR-6 is both impact and water resistant, and dependable at temperatures ranging from -20F to 120F. Length varies depending on model of gun from 2.30 to 2.97 inches, and weight is a negligible 1.12 to 1.27 ounces.
Streamlight offers the one-size fits all set with different housings at a retail price of $210, and single size retails for $175.
